What are your hours of operation?
A
Children's Learning Center of Wilmington is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. Please refer to our school calendar for closings.

Do you have a security system?
A
CLC has a key fab security system where parents use an assigned fob to gain access to the building during the hours of 7:30am -5:30pm.

What qualifications must the teachers have?
A
The teacher’s at Children’s Learning Center are required to have a four -year college degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. Most importantly they are required to be loving and patient with children.

How will teacher turnover be avoided?
A

What security measures are taken?
A
Our school operates on an “open door” policy for all to enjoy, however certain procedures must be adhered in order to provide a warm and safe environment. We do ask that if someone other than the child’s legal guardian is scheduled to take a child home from school or requests to visit a child in his/her classroom, the parent or legal guardian please call and inform the front office. It is required that the visitor provides a NC Driver’s License for identification purposes. Outside of each classroom is a two-way mirror so you can see your child in action without him/her seeing you!

How safe are the fieldtrips?
A
Each classroom will take fieldtrips (on a Children’s Learning Center Van) related to their theme-based curriculum. No fieldtrip will be taken without the proper amount of chaperones. Children’s Learning Center teachers are required to have a valid NCDL, one without speeding tickets or traffic violations. Each parent will provide a child’s car seat and are welcome to join the fun!!

Can parents come and visit anytime?
A
We have an open door policy and we encourage parents to stop by unannounced and visit with their children. The children as well as teachers enjoy having guests participate in the daily activities – so come and enjoy lunch, read a book or just peek through a window!!!
